Any comment on the news below? It does not matter what was the religion of the girl, I believe that justice is done and there should be zero tolerance in rape case. I hope that similar punishment is given to all, whoever they maybe, in all similar cases.
FAISALABAD, June 29: Four men convicted of gang-raping a Christian girl were executed in the district jail here on Thursday morning. Umer Hayat (32), Mubarik Ali (28), Mohammad Ashraf (34) and Shahzad Ahmed (29) had raped the daughter of Bashir Masih of Chak 144-RB (Chak Jhumra) on Nov 7, 1999.
The local Anti-Terrorism Court had decided the case on Dec 18, 1999, awarding capital punishment to all the four rapists. The Lahore High Court as well as the Supreme Court had also upheld the ATC’s verdict. After years long efforts, the convicts succeeded in getting pardon from the victim family. The apex court however refused to accept the pardon offer on the plea that there was no room for it in the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The president had also rejected their clemency appeals. The execution was carried out at the fifth death warrant. Action on earlier warrants was postponed each time on different grounds.
Acha hua SAALON k saath:grumpy:
Sometimes you can make mistakes and regret all your life but gang raping someone is not just a mistake, it was planned attack on a poor girl and they deserve to be punished.
Musharaff hung these men in an anti-terrorist court for condosleeza rice, a strong patron and supporter of world jewry.
One finds it strange that their 'trial' was held in an anti-terrorist court, aka a kangaroo court. It is not innacurate at all that this 'court' will be used to oppress innocent muslims.
Why are these men being tried in a kangaroo anti-terrorism court? How does one define terrorism? This will be another tool musharaff the tyrant uses to further his despotic rule.
How did the victim pardon the convicts? I doubt anyone willingly does pardon someone who killed/raped their daughter, i'm guessing there was something more to it. I'm glad they caught/killed him. Now wait til u hear all the idiots coming in and defending these dudes :)
SA i'm assuming it was terrorism because it was a brutal attack against someone of another religion? Maybe that's why they were tried in anti-terrorism court.
Now if only they could do the same for the millions of Pakistani/Muslim/nonMuslim women who are raped/killed everyday .
as they say in Urdu
Question: "sher (lion) bacha deta hay ya andaa" (Lion lays eggs or gives birth?)
Answer: "sher jungle ka badshah hay, chahay anda de ya chahay bacha" (Lion is king of jungle, its upto him to lay egg or give birth :D)
so, the answer is that Musharraf is king, if he wants to throw them in anti-terrorism courts then thats where they will be killed.
never admit mistake, being a muslim doesnt mean that they dont commit henious crimes. and they should be allowed to carry on! do you condone this rape?
and these are not kangroo courts. Anti terrorist courts are same as normal courts with same judges, only differ in tiral times cause they dont have back log of other cases.
this is nothing new to trial being done in anti terrorist court. these were created by not mushi, but your ganja bhai NS. due to nature of crime, all gang rape cases go in trial in anti terrorist courts for quick results. its not for condalisa rice.

If it means rapists like these men get what they deserve, then good.
Shows Pakistan isnt as prejudiced as people claim in the media... Good for Pak, anyone who commits such cries shold be given this punishment, particularly the weaker members of our society...
Also, President Musharraf has ordered the release of 1300 women arrested under the "Hudood" ordinance, which is another major step in helping weaker members of our society.
