Things like killing , robbery etc are not new in our subcontinent. However why I posted this was I never imagined there could be wineshops in Pakistan, that too in areas like Baluch, NWFP etc. Moreover majority of the killed appear to be non-muslims. Is it some kind of religiously motivated killing ?
QUETTA, Feb 8: Four people were gunned down and two others were critically injured when four unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire inside a liquor shop at Petal Bagh, here on Saturday evening.
According to police four men with sophisticated weapons, barged into a shop around 8pm and took all the six persons hostage at gun point. They tied their hands and feet before killing them.
The four persons who succumbed to their injuries on the spot received multiple bullet injuries at their heads, hospital sources said adding that the condition of two injured was serious.
Soon after receiving information about the incident hundreds of people rushed to the civil hospital. They started chanting slogans.
According to an injured four persons armed with automatic weapons entered into the shop and tied the hands and feet of all the six persons sitting in the shop and opened indiscriminate fire on them resulting in killing four of them on the spot. The armed men after firing escaped from the scene.
The four persons killed in the firing were identified as Babu Lal, Roshan, Setal Das and Kanyya Lal. The injured include Ramesh and Mumtaz.
This is what BBC says. I rarely see Hindus targetted in Pakistan compared to sectarian killings among muslims.
In Malaysia they have liquor stores, pubs and night clubs. But muslims are not allowed to enter to such establishments. They ask for ID when you enter. These business are run mostly by Chinese there. Is any such kind of arrangement is there in Pakistan that non-muslims can run liquor stores ?
Any Pakistani from that region what is your opinion about whether it was targetted against local Hindus ?
Unidentified gunmen have shot dead four members of the minority Hindu community in the Pakistani city of Quetta, in Baluchistan province.
Two people, including a Muslim, have been injured.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Police say they are investigating if it was targeted against the local Hindus or the liquor business in the a province where Islamists are in power.
Answer this. What good will it do for locals to kill Pakistani Hindus??? This is just foriegn sponsored attempts to ruin the stature of Pakistan. And your beloved country is the one sponsoring all this.

Rifak, your right Hindus, Sikhs have not been targeted. Unfortunately Christians have been targeted by the very same sectarian killers. The reason that Hindus/Sikhs have not been targetted is due to a virtual integration in their communities. In Sindh and Punjab, Hindus and Sikhs have been quite active in business and other commerce related activities.
I think it may be religious fundos who targetted an alcohol serving establishment. To them, if there are Hindus, Christians or even Muslims inside doesnt matter-- they are dead and fair game. I don't EVER want Non-Muslims targetted in Pakistan and I hope that many other Pakistanis share my views.
it is sad to note that hindus have been targetted this time.earlier the case was with christians .ISI is sponsoring these terrorist attacks to frighten the religious minorities in pakistan and force them to flee the clountry.
it is high time the international community put serious attention on this and take necessary steps to warn pakistani administration from engage in encouraging such heinous and bloody crimes.
no one from hindu, christian, sikh, shia and ahmedian community is safe in pak territories.

There are many consiracy theories.
(i) Muslim groups targetted Wineshop
(ii) Muslim groups wanted to kill some non-muslims for whatever reason.
(iii) Some foreign agency is behind this.
I have never been to Baluchistan. So I dont know about situation there. That's why I asked views of you Pakistanis. Why I surprised was how come there are wine shops in Baluchistan which is ruled by MMA ? This news seems to be authentic as it is reported by 2 well respected news organizations.
I never blamed Paki or Baluch Govt. In all fairness they are doing Good job (or atleast serious about) about safety of minorities.
RIFAK (KAFIR), looking at conspiracy theories again
Any theories about the burning to death of thousands of Muslims by the Hindus - sending over a hundred thousand Muslims to the refugee camps, and the Hindus violating the womb of Muslim women, ripping their unborn babies apart.
You really must be getting bored at posting anti Pakistan/Muslim rubbish at your Hinduvta sites.
Good Ol’ whining coward Hindus. Hypocrites at their best.
Asif_K, there are no wine shops in Pakistan, thats what the law says, and Ive never seen one. This is probably some disguised one, and you can leave it upto the BBC to find them. The only places where I have seen it, is some 5 star hotels, and in the embassies. So dont come to pakistan, you wont get any alcohol here, but we can arrange for some desai cola for you.
