A businessman who founded the BridgesTV network to improve the image of Muslims in the U.S. has been arrested and charged with murdering his estranged wife - by beheading her at his BridgesTV offices.

I didnt read anything about beheading in the other article I read on this. He killed her, but they have yet to find the murder weapon.
Similar case happened in India when Mohammad Suhaib Ilyasi who is famous Journalist who started TV Show “India’s Most Wanted”. He also married a non muslim Anju Singh and converted her to Islam. She became Mrs.Anju ilyasi. He took all her property,cash and jewellery. She came to know his real face and his connections with Muslim Mafia. so he managed to murder his wife by slitting her throat with a blade.He was caught by Police and was in prison.But he managed to escape as his Father is leader of all India Islamic Cleric association.

Now he is released with the help of Politicians of who are begging for muslim community votes in elections. He is back in the media…

So all these people who pretend to be religious are very shallow in real life.

This is such mortifying humiliation... and I feel disgusted to the core. The blogosphere is buzzing loud with anti-Muslim rejoinders - so much for the so called "Moderate" Muslim voices.
I hope that the Muslim associations in North America join hands to formally condemn what this guy did... but even that won't be enough.
I feel disgusted at having supported Bridges TV in the past.

Why shud you feel disgusted, you supported what you saw a noble cause, you could not have predicted that the guy will turn out to be a criminal.
Horrific crimes are being comitted by all sorts of peopel of all ethinicities and religions, we are not responsible for their crimes.

I am really surprised that you should associate crime with a religion. There are criminals in every religion who misuse the system for their benefit. They were making fun of Islam before this incident and they will keep making fun of Islam even if all the Muslims turn into harmless goats. Then they will say look at these pathetic souls they all turned into harmless goats , Islam does not defend them or taught them to defend themselves , what a lame religions Islam is.

never really liked bridges TV and never subscribed to it they just seemed too pushy and then the reviews of programming were not really convincing,
as far as this guy, if indeed he is the murderer, than regardless of his business or work, its a shocking and despicable act, barbaric and subhuman.
yes some people are going to have their fun with it, which is expected, but there is no real need to try to convince people who have their minds already made up and selectively find things that support their views. surely one can find examples from people practising their faith to get in a pissing contest, but why bother.

exactly, I saw that segment and what about all those priests in jails and waiting for trials in court for molesting kids ? Does it reflect on the religion or on the individuals.

You can look at it in a couple of ways though.
1) is there somoenthing in what was taught to this guy that made the person feel he was right in doing so.(ppl who engage in honor killings in pak or even UK are misguided as well)
2) did the person fail in following or understanding the religion
3) was the person a hypocrit, i.e. making money using faith, while not following it.
His act may or may not have anything to do with his understanding of religion, if one assumes that it did then we have to look into what grabage is being filled in his head from where.
we cant just say oh its nothing and walk away, in the end it may be nothing, but its prudent to look into it more.

This is such a horrific news!! Worst news at the worst possible time. It effects the image of Muslims so much more then the same news done by a person from any other faith.
One thing that I remember ...Wasn't the Bridges tv also going bankrupt...I remember getting a phone call about that.
