We usually discuss high end foundations lets talk about l’oreal foundations, maxfactor, maybelline etc. Share any that you have tried and please provide a review on it. The other day I bought true match from L’oreal. I only used a little bit this morning and can’t really say anything about it apart from that it’s not a cakey foundation. I would have to try it on another day and leave it on for a few hours in order to write up a fair review.
Re: foundations
Vitalumiere Aqua, the latest by Chanel is quite nice for those who dont dig the full coverage/cakey look. It's super light and moisturising. However the colors kind of confuse me. They come in Beige and Beige Rose category. I heard those with warm tones should select something opp or something like that but every website on net says diff things on it so its very confusing.
I tried the beige rose and beige, the beige one mite be more close 2 my skin tone but it was more yellowy so i kinda liked the rose beige better.
Re: foundations
I have tried Revlon-photo ready foundation recently and loved it. i have also tried Revlon colorstay and its great too. I dont like heavy/cakey foundation.
I have also tried Lancome Foundation recently but prefer Revlon over it as Revlon provided same result but with huge price difference.
Re: foundations
clinique has nice foundations.. they blend in reallywell and do not look cakey and are only around $20 something... They are simply amazing. These are my 1st choice for buying a cheaper foundation.
Also, sephora foundation are good too.. not comparable to the high end brands though. These also costs about $20. However, I found revlon and sephora foundations to be too similar. I do get alot of compliments on my sephora one though. However, they do not have ones with yellow undertones... I dont have any yellow undertones so I lucked out but alot of my desi friends can not use sephora because of it.
wth clinique I do not need to contour much because it just falls in place somehow. But with sephora I have too because it is a bit thicker while clinique is more liquidy and water-based.
Sephora comes in a wayy bigger bottle than clinique and lasts longer. The clinique one does tend to get darker overtime, while sephora does not.
Re: foundations
There are so many good drug store brands out there that actually rival the higher end brands.
Maybelline satin finish foundation is currently my favourite foundation. It applies very smoothly and evenly, and doesn't look like a mask! No, it actually makes my face look really silky... applied with my stila illuminating bronzer?? OMG! WICKED!!
Also, revlon colorstay foundation is AWESOME!! i love it so much - it gives just the right amount of coverage but without looking cakey and heavy. Same with photoready, however i personally would not look into getting any of the lighter shades in this range, as i purchased "nude" and it was full of glitter... yes, that's right! Glitter! I looked into this and found that most of the light shades have glitter in them, don't know why? So anyway, i got a hold of another shade in natural beige and can tell you it is 100% glitter & shimmer free! And a very niiice foundation indeed.
Loreal infallible foundation, smells lovely - however, i'm not too sure about this one and it kind of makes my face like its got a matte layer on it? i personally don't go for matte foundations as they look unnatural and weird on me.. :/
Not sure if Calvin Klein is a drug store brand, but their infinite hydration foundation is da bomb. It is simply amazing! It gives the skin such a dewy, gorgeous glow! Especially great for winter when skin can look sapped and dull. There is also an infinite matte one too, that one should be good for the summer :D
cheapest-cosmetics.co.uk are currently selling a lot of foundations at good prices, so if anyone is interested in getting into new foundations check it out :)
Re: foundations
I used to love Maybelline Fresh Matte but then it got discontinued :( was an absolute bargain..

Agree.. this is a really good foundation and sooo easy to apply even without a mirror u'd struggle to mess it up lol..
Re: foundations
maybelline fresh matte…? Do you mean maybelline liquid to powder wonder finish foundation? this is also discontinued but is in stock on our website here
Re: foundations
which foundation is less damaging to your face? can you wear foundation daily?
Re: foundations
I use ruby and millie for every day use, and dior for weddings and parties etc. Both are excellent, I've tried maybelline, lancome etc but they didn't look very good on my skin.
My mum uses clinique and it's awesome as well.
