I have a problem with all my foundations. I have clear, fair skin but I still like to wear foundation.However, I always feel that my foundation looks too cakey. I have tried lots of different foundations, I just don’t understand where I go wrong? Ginaaaaaa Minaaaaa HELP!

Have you tried Origins? I use their Stay Tuned one and i remember the first time i used it, i was so impressed by how light it felt on my skin, like i had no makeup on. My SILs used it and they had the same reaction.

You can try tinted moisturizer as Maroush suggested. You're blessed to have clear skin. With clear skin, I wouldn't bother with foundation. Let your skin breathe :)

spray fix by mac is perfect for helping with cakeyness...
i love love love love NARS sheer glow foundations! you have to try it...go to any sephora store and try it on, it goes on perfectly and naturally.....
however at $42 a bottle, its a bit expensive but totally worth it!
Mashallah you have such pretty, clear skin. Use a tinted moisturizer and a pressed powder for a tiny bit of added coverage. For occassions use a primer and a moisturizing foundation.

Thank you all. I used tinted moisturiser that I had bought from Mac with a tiny bit of foundation and it looked naturalllllllllllllllll. Yay! mission accomplished :D

and summer is coming.. everything i wear, INCLUDING tinted moisturizer...doesnt work..
my face becomes cakeyy and blahkk..
how do i stop dat :'(

what brand do you use? why dont u try maybelline mousse foundation? its light...
i used to use mac..but it got cakey on me..im medium olive skin tone...
if ur in canada..u can try vasanti cosmetics..i love love their foundation...they cost like 22$ i think..and its so damn light and it makes your face glowy and gives u tht dewy look
ive finished 2 of the vasanti ones now..and they last really long..
i wanted to try a new foundation..coz i was bored..lol..so i got cover fx..the concealer is amamzing but its hydrating..so moisterize ur skin..n u need very very litte..
only prob is its expective..concealer itself is 27$ foundation is 37$...way more expensive compared to mac...
apperetnyl the revlon phto finish is good too..great for pics..

Use a mattifying serum/cream/balm before applying u're foundation. Pre-powdered blotting sheets are also great.
