I’ve heard a lot of good things about Nars sheer glow and sheer matte foundation and I really want to try them out, but we don’t have a Nars counter here in Denmark but I can buy them online, but I have no idea which color I should go for … also I’ve heard that if you are one color in the sheer glow, you might be another in the sheer matte?
hope one of you can help
What I use atm, and what color I am…
Studio Fix - Powder Foundation - NW35
Bobbi Brown - Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation - Warm Natural 4.5
Laura Mercier - Oil Free Foundation - Shell Beige
Dunno if everyone sees the same ads when they view GS but this was slap bang in the middle of this thread and thought it might be useful (and free is always good :D):
Punjab will be too light, i've had it this shade and i'm nc20 to 25, maybe Barcelona
I'm NC42 and I wear Barcelona.
OP:
I'm completely against the idea of buying foundation without trying it on first simply b/c everyone's skin is so different. Especially with NARS....they're not exactly cheap. Do you have any family or friends in the U.S. that can mail you samples of 2-3 colors?
And yes....Your "match" in sheer glow can be diff. then sheer matte.
If you can’t get your hands on a sample or swatch and prefer to buy it online, then your best bet would be to go through the foundation matrix on Temptalia:
@ Paheli00 ... I feel the same way and normally I do get a sample and try it on for at least a week before I go out an buy it, but I don't have any other option then to get the Nars foundations online, I was in London about 6 months ago, but I totally forgot to try it out ...
I really want to try it, also because I have good/bad skin days, dry/oily skin days, sometimes I'm more redish-yellow, sometimes I'm more yellowish-brown so I like to have multiple foundation that I can go to when I need more/less coverage, matte/dewy-finish etc etc ... I am running low on a few foundations, so I thought it would be the perfect time to try a few new once, also because foundations last me forever because I have so many, so It's a 'either now or never'-ish situation ...
