foundation

dunno where to put this lekin

how do you girls deal with messed up foundation? I mean I just bought a 30$ powder/foundation from MAC, I expected it to be amazing…lekin I’m running into problems with it. See the color goes perfecttttttttly with my skin tone but after a while my face gets all shiny and I dont know how to get rid of it…any suggestions?

Do you use a powder foundation to touch up throughout the day? Some people use that.

but thats like caking the stuff onto my face....I use it only to try to cover up the redness of stress pimples (lol thats what i call them cuz thats when i get them)

Maybe you should find a non-oil based liquid foundation. I assume you are using an oily one right now.

Sorry, I just read your first post again and you are already using a powder foundation. Hmm, I dunno. Some of them have a lot of oil in them already. Maybe the one you have is a moisturizing foundation which is what is making it more oily.

Where do you get oily? Is it your t-zone?

buy the MAC blot powder with it. don't ever buy foundation without a blot powder, if u have oily skin. u probably do. i use the foundation once in awhile when i go out..and then i dab the blot powder like maybe once after that..and it just stays. i love it love it love it love it!!!! simply love it!!

aRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaay baba, ofcourse its going to shine if you dont set it up with powder.

Use a big blush brush to lightly dust your face with face powder Or Use blotting papers, they are good, BodyShops got nice ones, A pack for 5 bucks, the powder comes in two shades pink and beige.
Or Cliniques got them for 18 bucks.

it is non oil based…i spefically asked for that one
ya my t -zone :frowning:

eeeeeee so many stepsssss, y cant make up be easy :( i hate makeup...i just started using a bit recently (my weird powder/foundation, liquid eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss) i am the only one out of my whole crew that doesnt use it much, im a lazy bum.

If you only want to cover spots, don't use liquid foundation. Use a concealer or the compacts.

Liquid foundation is better for giving overall even tone but it should only be applied lightly. If it's shiny you can dust lightly (get a nice brush) with powder that's close to your skin tone.

Actually I think I might have a solution.

Try liquid foundation, but do not apply any moisturizers on your face before you apply the foundation.Instead use moisturizers when you're not wearing any foundation.

blotting powder?

So, they make an oily foundation which they charge you 30 bucks for and then they want you to buy blotting powder on top of it?

Great.
