I was wondering what type of foundation everyone uses because I want to try a new one. I want something that matches my skin and hides all blemishes on your face. Tell me what u guys use and if u like it or not. Thanks.
Hi. i use foundation of Miss Hellen but i dont know if u know that brand?
Foundation from The Body Shop. It's the only one I've seen that actually matches my skin complexion.
Number 3 by Nepoleon, but I use it with their Primer and it lasts 10 hours without any touchups. Its the primer that makes the difference i guess. I love Nepoleon by the way, their tinted lipglosses are so great. Not too mushy or sticky and give the best color to the lips.
if ever, i use MAC.. the liquid first and then blend it in properly using the compact..
theres this spray thing i got with it as well, and that sets the make up..:k:
I like MAC too. The colour suits me and it lasts for quite a while.
But I know of someone that uses Revlon's Color Stay and swears by it. I've tried it once or twice but I have to be very careful cuz the tint isn't always right for my skin tone.
Neutragena's Healthy Skin works pretty well for me. But have to make sure to wash it off, otherwise it causes the occasional breakout.
what u could use it… Nivea sp 15+.. i love that stuff! u dont even need foundation. It gives this lovely glow to ur skin :k: and u could use rose hip at night…
Thanks you guys for the replies. I got a makeover from a MAC counter and I looked like a ghost after she put the makeup on. I heard MAC was pretty good and I haven't tried any of the others. Does anyone know much about Revelon or Loreal foundation? Or any of the other foundations from the counters in department stores?
Thanks
usually.. those coutner people make u look like clowns.. I know they do it to me and i dont appreciate having being stared at by people.. but if u put the make up on urself, it actually turns out better :k: those counter chicks pack so much on u that ur skin cant breathe…
I use to use clinique's foundation and it matched nicely, but after a couple years i started to look a bit pasty, so I wondered over to the Elizabeth Ardens section and their liquid/powder one is much better.
always depends on what your looking for ?
what kind of coverage?
som ppl like to look whiter, sum like it a bit darker.
night wear
all day?
what finish?
It all depends on your skin tone and whether the foundation has a moisturizer in it. I think if you get one that has a bit of a moisturizer already in it, it conditions the skin more and gives it more of a flawless look.
Hmm, I could be totally wrong. That's what one of the women at The Body Shop told me.
I think the main thing is that you want it to match your complexion. You don't want your neck to look totally different from your face.
I am tempted to say something.
I have oily skin and I am looking for matte finish. Where the makeup doesn't looked caked on, but it looks like you are wearing something. And something that will last most of the day. I prefer to have my foundation a tiny bit liter than my skin color but not ghostly. I currently use Lancome but its lightweight and I want something with more of a coverage because u can't even tell that I am wearing any foundation.
Mem Saab: Whats the name of the Elizabeth Arden foundation that u liked?
i have tried clinique n Lancome’s :k:.. but heard the one by Ravilion oil free is also good…
Try Estee Lauder's Equalizer make up for combination skin...it's light with great coverage. And it's got spf 10 for sun protection.
Pyaari83 - Ill have to go home, check it out, ill tell you tomorrow. Its one of those compact ones. wudnt know name. ![]()
I like heavy coverage, but its very easy to apply, hides zits n all ![]()
i use Covergirl Aquasmooth,...i have the liquid, concealer, and the powder...it's pretty good, i don't get any breakouts from it and it acutally makes my skin look better...
its weird tho, coz i have one of the darker colors , "Soft honey", and when i put it on i don't look scary or antyhing, but sometimes i c myself in the mirror and im so white...its strange..
I haven't found a single foundation that actually suits me :( So I don't use foundation
But my sister uses Lancome and she really likes it
I'm surprised that the MAC consultant didn't do a good job. She must have been inexperienced. Give them one more shot before you write them off. Go back and tell them what you didn't like about the last makeover and see if they can do better, because for heavier coverage they have some of the best product.
