I tried this morning, with a sponge, but it ended up flaking and highlighting the dry spots of my skin. So I washed it all off and first put moisturizer and then applied the foundation, but the same thing happened!
Exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate and then moisturize really well Ruiner. Foundation does tend to settle in any dry/flaky area's.
Foundation can be applied:
Using a stipping brush-method
Using your fingertips
Using a brush
Using a sponge.
I feel that a sponge soaks-up a lot of the product and leaves streaky lines. I prefer using a brush and then tapping-on my concealer around my mouth and around my nose.
You definately need to exfoliate your skin with a good face scrub to get rid of all the dead skin. Apply moisturizer generously focusing more on dry spots.
Liquid foundation is better for dry skin rather than stick or powder foundation
Apply with either a filbert cut foundation brush or a stippling brush for a lighter finish
