I am currently looking for a foundation that gives me good medium coverage without looking cakey, luminous finish, and has no spf.
I am basically going to use that foundation for special ocassions and events, so do not mind to shell out a few extra bucks on a high-end one. I have done research on my own and been stuck on two that fit the bill almost perfectly and those are Laura Mercier silk creme foundation and Makeup Forever HD foundation.
I would highly appreciate if you could advise me on picking the right one for me. Please bear in mind that my skin gets combination-normal in the summer time but starts to get on the normal-dry side with a few dry patches here and there as winter rolls along.
Oh, by the way, please feel free to suggest me any other foundation brand/line, which check all the boxes above, that I should also look into. I am also curious about Bobbi Brown foundations as well. Is there one in her line that may be suitable for me?
I just got a sample of the laura mercier silk creme foundation recently, so far I really like it. The coverage is quite light depending on how much you put on and I think it gives your skin a radiant glow which I like.
I've tried MUFE HD foundation and it wasn't bad but I found it to be a little heavier.
I love Nars Sheer Glow...it's really buildable, so you can achieve a gorgeous medium coverage, dewy look
You know I actually went and got a sample of that because of you...lol.
I have to say, its beautiful. I'm a full coverage matte foundations kinda gal...I like them better because I can sheer them out if I want easily. But this stuff is really nice...medium coverage that is buildable. Its meant to give a glowy effect which I think it does achieve. I also like the fact that there's no SPF in it. I wear a separate one so I don't find it necessary in my base.
Another one is the NARS Radiant Cream Compact. Very dewy and natural looking finish.
It really depends on what kind of look you want to achieve honestly.
Makeup For Ever invisible HD high definition foundation is amazing, and have a feeling youll love it, It gives a medium coverage, but the coverage is really build able, it's great for pictures, and is for all skin types so you could use it year round. And if you like the more radiant finish I would suggest Laura Mercier's foundation primer in radiant, so you could use it under any foundation and still get the glow you like. I personally love it, and also like the texture, because it does not have a silicone texture like most primers, it absorbs right into the skin. I do work at Sephora, so yes lol I've tried most of everything. Hope this helped :)
