The topic says it all.. i’m buyng makeup for my wedding, but whenever i plan to buy a faoundation i just cant decide what to go for. I’m currently using bare essentuals powder/foundation and body shop concealer. This is enough for everyday use, but for the wedding makeup and the post wedding makeup i would need a heavy foundation which will give me a good coverage, stays longer, doesnt sweat away and doesnt break me out.
I have super oily and acne prone skin (no active acne though) and some red acne marks. Any suggestions girlies??
Break outs depend on the ingredients in the particular product and how they react with your skin...some people break out with MAC products whilst others don't!
I'm not sure where you are based but Clinique has a number of foundations in their range as well as Bobbi Brown, both cosmetic companies have a good range of colours to suit asian skin tones and skin types.
It may be an idea to obtain some samples and see what best suits your skin!
Your best bet would be to go in to a department store and ask around the different brands for what would suit your skin type best. Try to obtain samples and try each of them out. Don't feel forced in to buying anything or purchasing something that they put on you because you think it looks OK - always go outside and have a look at it in normal daylight.
If you find that your make up doesn't stay you probably need to invest in a good powder to set the make up- Chanel do a fantastic loose powder. This will take away any shine on your face too which is essential for wedding pictures as you don't want to look like you have a sweaty face in your pics.
Thanks girls!
I'll look for Chanel loose powder, and Clinique foundations (have used one before) as recommended by you girls!
Any experience with Estee lauder double wear foundation ?
Hey Lady Gaga...I loved Estee Lauder double wear foundation but I found it to be too much for everyday use. It gave me perfect coverage and was long lasting. I found though that the majority of the shades in their line have pink undertones rather than the yellow undertones for asian skintones!
You also need to have an extremely thorough cleansing routine if you're using this foundation as I found that the foundation hadn't completely washed off when washing my face the next day!
Try using a foundation brush when applying this foundation if you do go for it!
