Just wanted to know has any1 on gs ever fostered a child?
i cant seem to find an earlier thread on this topic.
we want to apply to foster care a child, as we dont have kids of our own yet and our working hours have reduced hugely due to less demand from employers - we both work. so last week, i saw an ad in the newspaper saying they need people from asian backgrounds who have spare bedroom and time on thier hands to care for a child, foster carers could earn upto 20 grand a year…although theres a six month assessment n thorough checks carried out etc.
Has any1 been there, done that? especially in the UK?
Any info will be very helpful guys.
