What do you think guys?
It wouldnt matter. From what i hear, this will be iceman's year. He was unlucky with 3 crashes last yr, otherwise he would have been champion.
i think this year again the Ferrari is the car to beat.
With Montoya leaving Williams at the end of this year, i don't think they will support him that much. McLaren doesn't seem to be up to standard as of yet, so again i think Schumi will become world champion
The biggest challenge Ferrari has to face may not be the drivers, but actually the tires. After all, i think it's the only team to be using bridgestones instead of vastly popular michelins, and this choice proved disastrous during the last year when things started to falter in the mid season. I think kimi raikkonen has a good chance more than montoya perhaps, since they(mclaren)
have a reliable and well tested car.
Don't count out teams like Renault with Fernando Alonzo; last year they came out of no where and won the Hungarian grand prix, if anything, this team will be much better this year. Overall, I am pretty confident that this is shumacher's last year. Ferrari does not have the technical edge over other teams anymore like the way it did in 2002, when it totally blew them out in almost every race. Williams, Renault, McLaren have caught up, and last year it was quite evident when ferrari barely managed to win. It did so, because they are just such a resilient and talented team, and ultimately found a way to turn things around in the latter half of the season. If they can keep things intact, then yes, ferrari is still the team to beat. Supposedly, a lot of testing has been conducted on the new bridgestone tires, and maybe, it will match up or even perform better than the michelins. In that case ferrari definitely has the edge over other teams. If Ferrari can rack up another season like 2002, then michael will finish his contract which expires in 2006; otherwise an average, or a losing season won't be enough to keep him around.
Doubt he will retire - has signed contract with Ferrari till 2006 if I'm not mistaken. This time maybe Ferrari will give Barichello more opportunity to win.
Yeah, couldn't get any better for ferrari in the Austrailian GP.. They just dominated from teh starting grid..and went on with the 1-2 finish..Watch out for Renault, and Fernando Alonso, as I have mentioned previously. They will be up there somewhere in the top three..
