Formula 1 - season 2007

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

yeah the cry babying is rather annoying, I guess they really did steal a page from ferrari playbook :)

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

McLaren have admitted that usage of Ferrari technical information was more widespread than they initially admitted. As a result they have issued a public apology to the sport. FIA have therefore taken back the penalty on scrutiny of next year's McLaren car.

so far for the 'we're innocent; it's all a ploy by Ferrari' claim :D

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

they had external auditors who audited to see how that ifno was used, so if ppl involved hid it from mgmt thats a whole diff thing,

interesting isnt it that renault got away with it.

and still interesting is that it all started with mclaren complaining about illegal parts on ferrari cars that ferrari had to change but never got penalized for

so...do u still think its been all fair?

oh and..

:D

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

^ a very good point you bring up there, which had made wondering beforehand as well. How did Renault avoid any penalty??? :konfused:

anyway, all in all i do think there is some ‘bias’ in favor of ferrari in formula 1 for the past few years, although i don’t know wat the main reason for that is. Don’t think it has anything to do with Schumacher, but rather the history of Ferrari. At a few points in the last decade Ferrari has threatened to leave F1 if certain requirements were not met. However, the FIA cannot afford Ferari going away, since it is the oldest team in F1 and the only team to have been present in all seasons from the very beginning.

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

max mosley has it in for ron denis..he has been throwiungf his weight around to dick around with mclaren not because of anything except due to his personal fued with denis. this is not to say mclaren did not screw around, but the way renault got off scott free for spy row, also ferrari itself having info on other teams, and them not getting penalized for illegal components in the car shows an interesting picture. while there is bias for ferrari for obvious reasons as u listed, this time around it was a compound effect..plkease ferrari and punish ron denis..dinn matter if he was at mclaren or somewhere else.
