Re: formal dresses from kehkashan

im assuming your talking about kekashan in karachi?
i got about 10-12 outfits made there in feb before i got married and my mom made a couple. we did them in various shops (maybe 5-6 different ones) and im sorry i cant remember the shop #s. you have to keep ontop of them in order to get your stuff made properly, but the work is stunning and is usually how you want it.
just keep ontop of them and haggle for good prices! most likely they will never give you the clothes on the day they say they will have it (as usual).

E2050 sorry i couldnt email you back - it wont let me send private msgs because i havent posted enough. so to answer your question ...

ok so basically these are the categories of things i bought:

1.) heavy shalwar kameez/churidar - i had very heavy work done on the shirts and piping and a little work on the dupatta, with stitching, it cost me between 5500-6500 with heavy bargaining. some of them were knockoffs and they did a good job. nothing they make will look 100% exact as a designer, but if you alter it to your taste it can look very good. i was about to have one HSY knockoff copy of the jacket style done which was heavy on the kaam, and that was costing me 10,000 without the fabric...but i didnt have enough time to have it made...

2) 1 moderately embroidered lengha which i cant remember the cost but im guessing it was 25,000. the front and back was done and they also got the fabric for me as well, i just picked colors and adjusted the design.

they are very lazy about getting stuff done, so make sure u check in every 2 days and stress when you need it. if your from abroad, lie about your travel date by 2 weeks....because they will never give it to you on time if you pick it up b4 your flight.

good luck!
