It irrittates me beyond everything that Christian priests forgive crimminals becoz Christ. takes all their sins. 
I mean, it just doesnt sound logic. Some one who has been nothing then bad things gets forgiven by some priest just becuase his time is near. f.e. death row, or sickness .
Who gave them that power, to forgive at will.
I read the bible along time ago, but I can t recall having read that annywhere.
Feel free to rape and kill, but in the end, ask forgiveness, and it will be granted
