honestly, forgiveness is a God given concept, so only God can truly forgive.
people might say that they can and will forgive, but they know this just as well
that they can't and will not be able to. it cannot be given by a human being.
parents' forgiveness is diff than that of a person who has not shown any repentence after hurting.
in human relations, it also may depend who comes forward with an honest realization of having done a wrong thing and then the best response as forgiveness is all relevant to the context in which it is asked for or a person decides to give it.
the idea ought to be preventative in nature and in spirit, rather than intervening after the fact.
this is my opinion, and i may be wrong.

Limits as in what? I believe theres nothing thats unforgivable, but certain things definitely are inexcusable.. there's a difference...

'forgive and forget' always accompanies the hurt that is suffered. it hurts even more because it came from someone who you did not think will hurt you.
thus, forgive and forget may not be practical.

Depends on how sincere i think the apology is. I am not a very forgiving person though :(

^ i agree. a good explanation and apology must be listened to for the sake of the person who made the mistake.
