Sometimes we think no one is suffering more than us, and our difficulties are beyond our endurance, but when we look around and see examples of people suffering from more pains in life, we realize it was a great mistake to become thankless to our Lord for minor losses and pains in life. There are people who are very less privileged then us but still more thankful and satisfied than us.

very true, thank you for posting this. Sometimes we dont know what were the other possible outcomes of a situation. we only look at the best or desired outcome and are upset when that is not the outcome.
I will share my personal example.
Most ppl on GS know that my twns were born premature and did not make it. It messed me up royally for a while. yes the best outcome would have been that they went to full term and then were perfect lil kids, but that did nto happen, however they could have survived and had serious serious developmental and physical issues, the stress, the expense and all would be a lot to bear. tough on the marriage, and probably would have put us in a situation where we would not be able to really afford to have more kids.
It was togh and it is tough, but while we did not get the best outcome, we were saved from the worse outcomes as well. There are other people who have gone through similar situations where the children survive but just for a few months or a couple of years often in hospitals fulltime or majority of the time, and you know they will not make it and its a waiting game that can break the strongest of people. We were saved from it. While the night that my children passed away in my arms is the type of night I would not wish on anyone nor do I ever want to be tested like that, parents whose kids are terminal and they live the possibility of losing their kid every day have it much much tougher, and I am thankful I did nt have to face that.
