The chief minister said water would be pumped to New Murree from the Jehlum river. This water supply scheme, costing Rs 2 billion, would be completed in 18 months.

He said both Murree and New Murree would benefit from this scheme. He said promotion of tourism would boost the national economy and that was why the government had come up with the New Murree project.

Elahi further said in addition to modern parking facilities, a monorail would be built in New Murree for transport within the town. He said a dual carriageway from Islamabad to Murree would be completed by the end of this year.

^^ Excellent stuff! But I suppose those tourists would be landing on Islamabad Airport, which would be turnoff right from the start. They will need to complete the new one asap.
