If you remember , SMQ was made foreign minister by PPP , he was linked with Aabpara , It became clear during Raymond Davis case so he was ousted .
There was actually issue of big money of war on terror and links with CIA , They are not able to tell the story to everyone so memogate was created to oust Haqqani , Later both parties , PPP & establishment agreed on Hina Rabbani Khar .

I don’t even get how Hussain Haqqani was made ambassador to US in the first place. PPP doesn’t want anything to do with him now either.
Iran is worse in meddling around the region but I don’t see Vali Nasr saying the kind of things that Hussain Haqqani says doing boot polish in the US. He forgets that his kaali bhand is still not gori and he will always be a ‘paki’.

I personally do not see anyone qualified enough to hold the office of foreign minister in PML-N. “Maybe” Ahsan Iqbal, but even he doesn’t hold the charisma required for this post. Look at the PM himself, the guy needs a written note to even give 10 minute speech. I know someone personally who has been in meetings with NS and his team. The guy has to be constantly fed by someone within his team to give a statement, and many times he would forget what was he told few days ago. I would like to see what his IQ score is BTW.
