Foreign films; need suggestions

I’m going to Blockbuster this weekend, wanted to stock up on some foreign films. I havent seen any in awhile. Would you mind sharing some of your favorite foreign films? I will check them out. Thank you.

One I saw awhile back, that I liked was “Color of Paradise”. I’m sure its been mentioned here several times. Iranian film I believe.

If you're into horror, there's a great Scottish film out there called "Dog Soldiers" released in 2001.

No Man's land
Emile
Life is Beautiful

yeah, 'Life is beautiful' is definiely an amazing story!

wow, wasn't expecting anyone to mentioning 'Y tu mama Tambien' on this forum. guess I was wrong. Now that is a tasty mexican treat (in more ways than one).

graphic warning though.

There's also this sweet Iranian film about a boy who has to go across some mountain region to return a borrowed book to his friend. The name escapes me but it's been broadcast a few times on cable too. Another good movie.

Is it Emile or Ameli ??? Either way Munni, you got to get it. Life is beautiful is also :k: but like DK said, it aint one to watch with the inlaws

My personal fave remains City of God but:

a) It aint out 2 rent yet
b) It aint a chick flick.

No man's land is good.
Pretty emotional and plus with no "unwatchable" stuff if ya know what i mean :)

Watch Amelie.....you'll love it

Watch " Three Colours Blue" , "L'Appartement", and "Farewell My Concubine" as a start :)

The first two are in French and the last one is Chinese.
