Re: Foreign Dramas
Deeba, where can i watch episode 40 of fatamagul?
thanks for sharing btw, was worth it.
Re: Foreign Dramas
^39 is the Season 1 finale (I haven't watched it yet tho, waiting for the right time and also want to watch the English subtitled episodes 3-8 which weren't done but are going to be translated over the summer)..
Season 2 doesn't air till September I think..
Glad you liked it :) It's one of my favourites now..
Re: Foreign Dramas
Anyone here got a favourite or one to recommend?
I'm totally hooked on the Turkish series 'Fatmagulun Sucu Ne?' ('What was Fatmagul's Fault?').. I've only watched upto ep 26 so far tho..
It's about a girl who's gang-raped then has to marry one of the rapists (except it turns out he didn't actually attack her, 'just' stood by but didn't stop his friends from doing it).. All the twists and turns are brilliant and it's had me in tears plenty of times..
is that why you are looing for some one in Turkish Airlines ? :)

How I Met Your Mother. I ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY LOVE IT! :)
Re: Foreign Dramas
Watched Iranian, Japanese, Chinese, and I think Greek movies last couple of months. Acting superb, story lines compelling. The talent puts Bollywood to shame.
Yes How I met your Mother is - wait for it - quite funny.
Re: Foreign Dramas
thanks Deeba1234, was keeping a eye on it too. The trailer for the next episode is out too.
Re: Foreign Dramas
that turkish drama sounds so similar to Roag
The only 'foreign' drama i was badly hooked to was indian lol Kitni mohabbat hai, i was ADDICTED!
Re: Foreign Dramas
Thought I would add a new one.. Muhteşem Yüzyıl (Magnificent Century).. very very popular but also v.controversial in Turkey.. a historical drama (think a Middle-Eastern/Asian version of The Tudors lol) on Suleiman the Magnificent..
Some background on it: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/mar/20/turkish-drama-magnificent-century-divides

Re: Foreign Dramas
I recommend the movie "Mr. and Mrs. Iyer" to OP. Tears guaranteed.
OMG I LOVE THAT FILM!
Korean dramas are hilarious. They're just like us. I watched one called 'All About Marriage.' Part of the story-line has an unmarried daughter who gets pregnant. When the mother finally agrees to meet the boyfriend, she cordially says hello, dumps a plate of noodles on his head and starts pulling his hair, bahahaha.
Re: Foreign Dramas
^:cb:
I should watch that…I love Korean dramas tooo…haven’t heard of the one you mentioned, gonna check it out.
Re: Foreign Dramas
Korean dramas are the best! I’m currently watching a family drama called Ojakgyo Brothers. It’s about four brothers who live on a farm and their separate love and work related stories. It is soooooo good!
This is the review that got me started and completely, hopelessly addicted: http://thundiesprattle.com/2011/11/18/ojakkyo-brothers/
Re: Foreign Dramas
I watched a few Danish dramas (the Killing) and french series (Spiral), very gritty and a bit depressing. Some very good acting though. May check out the one you're watching though, Deeba!
