This is the indication of the fact that we need to change our system of education and our thinking.the competitive approach from the very start puts alot of pressure and burden on the kids and that being a doctor, engineer, mba or CA is the only success. Alot of kids in Pakistan have such tight schedules that there is no leisure time for them. My nieces come back from school and get ready for their quran class, after quran class its homework time, after homework its tuitions. I remember that from grade 7 to 10 i was told that just get into a good college and then u can be as carefree as u want. After garde 10, for two years it was just get on the merit list of falan falan university and then you can stop worrying about your carrier. in the university it was just pass the university years and then you can chill. That relaxing…chillaxing time never came, it was one thing after another, one goal after another.
I remember when i was in grade ten, some 12 years back, a kid in my class shot himself, reason being he came from a family of doctors and engineers, being the youngest he was supposed to follow his siblings steps. He was not allowed to play, even if you call at his house to talk to him his father will give him only five minutes on phone thinking that its a time waster. It all ended up in him blowing up his brains.
. Yes ur rite I think both playing a role in this situation, our education system n patents they hv turned their kids into donkeys wid their backs full of books, they force their kids so much that they endup committing suicide …India hv learned a lot with the film Tarai Zamme Per not all kids are genius so let them live their childhood wich meant to be carefree…
