Judging by your profile I hope I am correct in assuming that you live in SF? If so, then there is actually a great deal you personally would be able to do - there is an extremely active anti-sanctions org. located in Bay Area. They are currently planning to bring the former UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq, Hans von Sponeck, to the Bay area in August - if you are interested in this issue, you might like to help organize & attend the talk. Sponeck worked with the UN for 32 years prior to resigning last year in protest of the sanctions. (His predecessor, Denis Halliday, also resigned in protest). I know one individual from this org., and he is super nice - I think they’re a great bunch of people, very friendly.
If you reside in the US but not in SF, you can try to find another anti-sanctions org. located close to you: http://www.endthewar.org/members/main.htm (Although please bear in mind - this is not an exhaustive list).
If you were thinking more along the lines of making financial contributions then there are many orgs. (for eg., the Middle East Children’s Alliance) that take medicines to Iraq in direct defiance of the sanctions - check out: http://www.mecaforpeace.org/delivers.html
