For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

Seems like some of you newbies do not know that the two parties formed an alliance against the no-taraz (9 taraz IJI) in the 1988 elections, and the alliance ended in a bad way. The MQM ofcourse made alliances with Nawaz Sharif, and now the Army and never live upto it, so those excited about BB and Altaf, just like how they started doing so for Musharraf and Altaf, beware before posting your jhandaz as the track record just shows it will end up in a bloody row.

Re: For those having PPP-MQM wet dreams

Right right right, but MQM has always been an anti-mullah party. Religious parties hated its guts. You cannot say the same for anyother party in pak. Thats a very very good thing, no wonder they are supporting Musharaf.

What we need in this day and age, is a party that was anti-mullah, from its core.

Re: For those having PPP-MQM wet dreams

Firstly this topic is about the PPP and MQM alliance, so im not discussing how good or bad the MQM is. But since you talked about it, not exactly true, I can understand PPP being an ideal party to counter extremism, but not the MQM, as its a mafia on its own... You cant fight religious extremism by bringing in an ethnic/fascist party limited to one city who has a poor track record.

p.s. religious parties have had no real significance in pakistan, and uptil 2002 they didnt even get enough seats to do anything, but thanks to our dictator and his kiss america's ass policy, thats changed a bit. To counter the MMA in NWFP u need ANP back in action, mqm cant get a single vote there.

Re: For those having PPP-MQM wet dreams

That's factually very true and many hawks in the US administration have long suspected Mush of playing a double game with them. But then the post 9/11 scenario I am sure also played a part in giving more voice to some of these radical elements in NWFP and Baluchistan.

Re: For those having PPP-MQM wet dreams

Absolutely right.

People should look forward and not backwards. 1988 is history. There is now National Rconciliation and a new enemy - the Jihadi Terrorists.

Good to see BB is now working in partnership with MQM and vice versa for the sake of National Unity and fight the common enemy - the jihadi terrorists that are destroying Pakistan.

God Bless President Musharaf for creating an atmosphere of National Unity. :jhanda:

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

thread title and opening post cleaned up. keep it pg guys.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

There was a PPP-MQM alliance (first PPP term?) and they split, anyone remembers that?

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

Yes they made alliance in first government of PPP. The document was prepared P.K. Shahani, (now dead), signed by both PPP and MQM. It did not work as MQM wanted more share in power set up already agreed upon. So they split. Sindhis were main target of killing in Karachi and Hyderabad after the split.

MQM also made an alliance with Jiay Sindh, but it did not work either, I think that alliance is dead too. MQM made alliance with every one but got divorced sooner or later.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

They never made alliance with any religious party. Everyone else did.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

^ You dont know much about politics Robert... Big fish parties like PML and PPP make alliances with smaller parties like JUI/MQM/JI... What good would it do to for the MQM to ally themself with a party which at that time could muster 2-3 seats? All this means is that MQM will sell their pajamaz in politics to anyone who has the ability to form a govt, as proven by their lota-pun in the past.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

Whatever. so long you agree that they never sided with a religious party.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

I know enough to stay away from it.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

If the religious parties were as big as PML/PPP, you would see altaf hussain selling his soul to them... Btw, MQM was founded by a religious nutjob aka Zia...

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

Now this is sensible talk. Keep it up.:biggthumb

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

MQM can make alliance with devil as long as it helps them collect Bhatta and keep the AH safe in London.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

MQM is devil, PPP is devil, Mush is devil. Who is not devil? Imran Khan and Taliban?

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

Only Imran Khan is good.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

I wonder sometimes, who in their sanity can defend corrupt and murderes like PPP, MQM and PML (A-Z). They all are bunch of filthy goons. Some ppl think they these gangs belong to left right or centre, like other democracies around the world. Fact (proven 85-07) is that they all have one agenda and one ideology, money and power.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

We have some of them here.

Re: For those excited by PPP-MQM alliance

And I wonder sometimes who can support the beheaders and suiciders and spread hate against the only forces in Pakistan doing something (albiet more should be done) who are fighting them.
