^ whatever works for you!

If you believe in something, have strong faith and your niyat and intention are in the right place, that's when you see your efforts go into fruition.

Mr Frauds, mujhe naye malum.

Faith and Niyyat are alrite but sort of mixing it up with the 10th roza and ishaa ki namaaz .... waghaira is a bit misleading and such are the things that get the non muslims draw a pretty picture of what Islam is all bout.
So unless its written someplace (and I dont mean hadeeth they are nothing but chinese whispers) its really not a fact.

Are hadeeth chinese whispers?

errr can someone pls tell us why its only for single girls?

What is a Chinese Whisper, a statement passed down from one person to another and it keeps changing its authentication by peoples believes and preceptions.

What is a hadeeth, statement passed down from one person to another. Not very authentic is it.

Are u saying that hadeeth is not authentic?
hadeeth were not passed down from person to person. They are the words of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) passed on to Sahaba. There was alot of effort involved by Companions of Prophet (pbuh) and the people after them to make sure that they are not changed or that anything wrong is added in it. Hadeeth are very accurate.

I would have met the one I did meet. No doubt about that.

so what did the single ladies here wish for?

To stay single for the rest of my life!!!

heres somthing for the guys..
"......"Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous."
25:74..

why can't a plain dua suffice?

aright.. easy does it ppl... catty just wanted to share somethin so she did... its important to ppl who understand teh need for it.. to others it doesnt mean much... tho those ppl bringin in hadeeses... take it elsewhere cuz if catty wanted to discuss the religious aspect of it.. she woulda posted in religion...

tehre are special prayers for special times throughout the yr... why are u guyz makin sucha big deal out of this one? aisay dont make a big deal outta teh aakhri ashra.. hey.. waht's so special bout those days too?

there is no such thing as a plain dua... read into it and u'll understand

in a nutshell.. ppl who feel the need for such prayers will understand its importance... to others.. ya.. its like jumpin up and down during full moon and makin cluckin sounds... hope the Mighty Rooster hears ure clucks and grants u an escape from teh chicken farm

just chill out ppl :)

chilling chilling :smokin2:

so errrrr I still would like to know why its specific for unmarried girls?
just curious bus

its not.. but these kinda prayers are usually directed at women rather then men... this prayer is really for "rukay way kaam"... most ppl tell girls to do this for a good naseeb.. a good rishta.. i guess its true for guys aswell.. to pray for a good wife.. someone has already posted.. a verse or something about it... if catty had known that there were curious and needy georges on gupshup.. she woulda titled her thread "for the needy" ...

there are just so many single girls on gupshup harpin on and on and on bout not being able to find a suitable guy... so.. here's somethin to help them out.... :)

khush?

*suroor_ca02 said fraudz.. ghalat ho ya sahee.. Allah ki ebadat karnay mein koi harj nahien.. phir nifils he to hai :-) *

sure, no issues wiht praying, but what if I say that to win the lottery you have to pray at the of the closest mountain, and read surah this or surah that, x number if times.

..does that make sense? or is it just hocus pocus being paraded as religion?

put those special prayers and I will ask about the basis for those as well, I asked about this one because this is the one that was posted.

*aisay dont make a big deal outta teh aakhri ashra.. hey.. waht's so special bout those days too? *

I suppose there is something written about the akhri ashra, and whether or not what is written is convincing enough for one to pay any special attention to those days is one's business.

In this case that is simply what I requested, what is the basis of it, whre is this written, who said it when and where. based on what I hear I may or may not be convinced. But without any info about this, its just hanging .. just like other such duaas and mantar jantars that I hear off and on.

*in a nutshell.. ppl who feel the need for such prayers will understand its importance... *

Just because it supposedly addresses a special need for some people does not mean that is authentic right? I mean I want to win the lotto but if someone tells me a particular duaa for winning the lotto does not mean that that duaa is authentic, that is works etc.

*just chill out ppl *

what makes you think people are not chilled out, if someone inquires about the origin of some 'dua' approach, what is there to be not chilled about, as soon as someone shows me that its written in quran, I will shut up :)
