my wife does not feel comfortable with male on these services. Off course you can not simply throw out Islamic prospective. May be she does not feel comfortable because of all the Islamic teachings which are in the back of her mind. At the time of our first baby, she registered her name into clinic where 100% doctors were women so that there was no chance of male being "on duty at THE time" (although that clinic was around 35miles from out place while city's largest hospital was around 5 miles from our place)
I myself dont go to female hairstylist and I have been keeping male primary care physicians all the way in the past.
