One friend is getting married, girly girl stuf wise she has everything (I thinK).. i know she might need stuff for her home, but i dont want to give a repeat gift, and decoration stuff is kinda iffy.. cz u know..some ppl can be picky. So i’m not sure exactly.
Another girl, my cousin, i want to send her something from here (shes in pakistan and my parents are going back soon), thing is that pakistan mein sab kuch mil ta hai..clothes and jewelery and all. Its not that she’s picky but she will save everything, she still has stuff i gave her when I was 10. last year i gave plenty of stuff that she cud use after she got married (err things dint work out).. so i dont want to give something like that again. any suggestions (keeping in mind it cannot be too heavy)??
for first one ........gift card / store credit where she could go n get anything for herself or the groom or home ( like say target -or- macy's just to give u a hint)
for cousin ..........either figure out what the rest of family is giving her (people in pakistan usually give cash), -or- just get something in gold for her, or a formal wear dress , or accessories etc

Gold is a good Idea that will alway remind of you whenever she will use.
Well noone is giving her anything, it’s just a gift from me.. not birthday, wedding etc.. just awein ke liye tofa.. gold i cannot afford right now, im hoping ill be able to buy for her shadi though… thing is that everything that can be bought here.. is available there.
Give her something that you get personalized , like engraving the bride and groom's name on it.She will fondly remember you whenever she looks at it.Remember gifts are not about materials but are tokens that may remind the reciever :)
For the one in Pakistan get her something for the home that is from here -- like maybe a dish or decorative piece from Crate and Barrel or something. The designs are different and she can display it and use it whenever she has need. If she saves everything she will probably appreciate it.
You can give her perfume(s). People in Pakistan love those and if you buy them for Marshalls etc they shall still be designer but way lower than sold at Department stores and Pakistan. People over there also love hand and body lotions from here.
how about some basic makeup thing? like a pencil eyeliner or something but should be a good brand one..i dont know of any girl who doesnt like getting makeup..
for the second one, a good decorative piece from macy's or something..
Just want to remind you that in Pakistan these days everything or almost everything is available even perfumes and make up. If you give perfume or make up Sara she will use it and it will finish and after few months or years maybe she will forget. Bag is good but they go out of fashion and also wear out after continous use and she could throw that away or no longer use that. I agree with people who are telling you to buy something personalized and engraved. Like a photo frame or pen or even a gold bracelet with her name on it or something. Gold never goes out of fashion and is an investment. She can wear it and then remember you, the person who gave it to her : )
I dunno if everyfin is available in Pak. For girls, good quality make-up is almost out of reach. Decent brands like MAC and ummm others are no where to be found.
Why do I know? Attended a wedding recently and its a pain to find good things there. Its much easier if you give stuff like that from here. they will use it and save them time / money.
It is just a little token gift, you can give anything. My cousins in Pakistan have everything, they use best makeup and everything. But whenever my mom or sister are visiting I just send some nice make up stuff like lipsticks or a nice lotion or a nice perfume or some fancy earings; they always love it. They mostly send me back pretty much same sort of things. We don’t send each other big thing but little things that we can use and adore, at the same time they are afordable.
Oh and to the friend, give a gift card of a nice departmental store, you can never go wrong with a ift card.
