** The Qur’an and the T.V. Guide **

They lie on the table side by side

The Holy Quran and the T.V. Guide.

One is well worn and cherished with pride.

Not the Quran, but the T.V. Guide.

One is used daily to help folks decide.

Not the Quran, but the T.V. Guide.

As the pages are turned, what shall they see?

Oh, what does it matter, turn on the T.V.

So they open the book in which they confide.

No, not the Quran, but the T.V. Guide.

The Word of Allah is seldom read.

Maybe a verse before they fall into bed.

Exhausted and sleepy and tired as can be.

Not from reading the Quran, from watching T.V.

So then back to the table side by side,

Lie the Holy Quran and the T.V. Guide.

No time for prayer, no time for the Word,

The plan of Istiqama is seldom heard.

But forgiveness of sin, so full and free,

Is found in the Quran, not on T.V.

My Allah, My Life

My Allah, My Life

This earth, this dunya, is a drop of a sea
The final destination, The Akhirah,
which is beyond infinity

This test and trial makes me blue
Fighting Shaytaan is the hardest thing
I ever had to do

Years and days will quickly go by
To Allah alone I cry,
who will always stay close by my side

Allah has commanded us to give Zakah and Pray,
This Deen is of Allah and his Messenger, not some play
So let us repent for the sins we commit night and day

My days are lonely and they are cold,
My goal is to obey Allah
as my days grow old and He takes my soul

Allah is present, I know,
Allhamdulillah
my connection with Him is strong
He lives in my heart,
His Mercy and Blessings
are enormous and beyond

When I sacrifice and give up something
for His sake,
In return He rewards me
with something better in its place

My life is corrupted and my days are rough,
Sometimes my tests and trials get so tough,
But for the sake of Allah, it's never enough

Allah and His Quran is my guide
If He wasn't there for me,
I'd break, swelter and die...

Our Future >>

** Our Future **

We tend to plan for our future everyday,
Desperately we try to pave the way.
We save every little bit of money we can find,
And to the people who can help us achieve we are kind.
If there is something we want enough we're willing to fight,
For a future filled with happiness that is oh so bright.
It is unfortunate though, to fill everyone's hearts with sorrow,
But remember dear Muslims our future is not tomorrow.
It is not money or fame that will get us ahead,
But the number of times we worship God before bed.
That is what will make our future unimaginably great,
So let us wake up and take control of our fate.
Tomorrow is not the future you should be planning for,
But the day you will be standing before Allah's door.
The day where we will be reminded of every last deed,
Like the day you forgot the poor because of your greed.
And what dear Muslim shall you say,
When Allah asks you why you didn't pray?
No excuse will be enough,
To get out of the hellfire that will be so rough.
So let us pray, worship and keep the poor fed,
For our future begins once we are all dead.

For Sisters > What Am I ??

What Am I ?

I am not just a pretty face
I am more than that.
Look at what I do, what I say
And how I act.

This hijab I wear
That conceals my beauty,
Is a command of Allah
I feel it's my duty.

To cover myself
And lower my gaze,
To present Islam
And people amaze.

To be known for character
And my will to succeed,
Not only in this world
But the one to proceed.

I am a Muslimah.
It's what I was destined to be,
Take a leaf out of my Book
And learn from me.

Imagine >>

Imagine

Imagine yourself
after you pass away
Imagine your grave
through night and through day
Wishing that you did not do as they say
Wishing that you had got up
and had prayed.
Imagine, my friends,
the day that you died
Imagine all of the tears that they cried
Remember how it felt
when your body was tied
Remember how it felt
in the grave in which you laid.
Imagine the day
you'll be called to account
Imagine the sum
to which your life will amount
Think for a moment
of the deeds which you mount
Think for a moment
how much they will count.
What will they say of you
when you are dead?
What will they say?
What will be said?
Will they speak of all the poor
whom you fed?
Will they remember
all the Qur`an that you read?
Think not of them, but of Allah,
Lord of mankind and jinn
Think of Allah when tempted to sin
Think of the paradise
which you will dwell in
Don't wait till later
to think what might have been.

dat was really gud!
May Allah subhanawa taala show our muslim sisters the light!

Beautiful Islam >

Islam is our Deen
It's a way of life.
It's pure and serene
And causes no strife.

Where we live together
To love one another
Like sister and brother.

We share and we give
And we care and we live
In harmony and tranquillity.

Salaam - the message of peace.
Spread it around
Across the Earth.
Soothing is the sound.

And for all it's worth
Rewards will be repaid.
So don't worry if it's a little delayed.
Allah delays but He never forgets.

So bow our heads, let's
Make dua, that insha-Allah
He unites this Ummah,
And makes it easy to follow the Sunnah.

Along with the Qur'an
It's the guidance we need
In this world full of evil
And people's greed.

We just have to follow
It's as simple as that
Yet we make it harder
Why is that?

Allah make this journey easy
I know it's going to be tough.
Save us from the torment
And from being unkind and rough.

The destination we desire
Is Jannah, not the fire.
To enter this abode
Without riches and load -
But with good deeds and heavy scales.

Trust me, these aren't mere tales,
Hell is real, if only we knew
Then perhaps we wouldn't do
What we always do.

So, I end this now
Be weary somehow
Of what you do and what you say.
You'll be accountable,
On Judgement Day.

Don't be scared
Just be prepared.
Fast, every day - make Du'a
Give Zakah and pray Salah.

Dear Brothers and Sisters
In Beautiful Islam,
Death's around the corner
So just thought I'd warn you...

Our lives are too short
What's gone is the past
Seriously guys,
This journey won't last.

Allah Knows Best >

** Allah Knows Best **

Allah knows what's best for us
So why should we complain?
We always want the sunshine
But He knows there must be rain

We always want the laughter
And the merriment of cheer
But our hearts will lose their tenderness
If we never shed a tear.

Allah tests us often
With suffering and with sorrow
He tests us not to punish us
But to help us meet tomorrow

For growing trees are strengthened
If they withstand the storm
And the sharp cut of the chisel
Gave the marble grace and form

Allah tests us often
And for every bit of pain
Provided we're patient
Is followed by rich gain

So whenever we are down
And whenever we feel
everything is going wrong
It is just Allah's way
To make our spirit strong.

Ameen
