I will soon be finishing up my small collection of the over sized clutch bags inspired by American Apparel. They are all handcrafted by me and all of the stitching and sewing work is excellent. I have been sewing for a very long time as a hobby and my work is very neat. In efforts to start a new venture, I wanted to reach out to my fellow guppans first and get some feedback from you guys about how many of YOU would be willing to order these bags from me. I am currently working on some bridesmaids clutches, however those will not be completed for a few weeks. My American Apparel inspired set is almost done and I want to know what you guys think and if you will buy. For GS, I will work on a custom order basis and will only make according to an order. I will not be uploading any photos just yet until the collection is finished but you can message me and I will email you the “non pro” photos for a first look.
The back story: Basically I am a DIY maniac and love making everything myself. I have always gotten so many questions asked about my items over the years, which finally lead me to this project.
The over sized clutches will be starting at $20 to $35 USD. Various colours, prints and fabrics to chose from and certain shades will be made to order. All unique! I will be shipping from Chicago, USA through UPS, FedEX and USPS. All depends on where the best rates are and how urgently you would like to receive. Shipping rates will be determined by postal and zip codes. If you are in Pakistan and are interested, send me a private message and we will work out the details together and I will find out international rates for you.
Once the items are ready for sale, I will have the link to my page and online shop listed here as well.

A better place to advertise a product like purses would probably be Etsy. GS is a social networking site and other than selling/buying desi clothes, you won't find a lot of dedicated traffic on this site.
You're providing a niche product to a clientele that may or may not be interested - you need to broaden your sales platform and offer it to the sort of clientele you see in those pictures you posted - young Western fashionistas - this is their style.

wot a fabulous idea :) I think its still worth a go listing them on here, eventhough the forum is largely about clothes, i think there is a real market for accessories too especially ones that have been hand made. please do post up piccies of the finished bags once available.
