Watcher ji, i have to complement you on your posts, they're really good. As for clearing misunderstandings non-muslims have about Islam, all you can do is try. Most non-muslims, as you've mentioned, are deeply influenced by the western media, which keeps on spreading propaganda and ignorance about Muslims; they're also not WILLING to understand Islam. If they choose to be stubborn then all you can do is try your best to ignore them and take comfort in your faith...
Thank you HK. We need to try to tell them that they have misunderstood Islam, than its up to Allah and them to leave their backward and narrow minded thinking and come to light.
WHen they abuse Islam and judge it according to what media tells them <they feel that is alright. but, when we tell them the bad sides of their religion and how they deal with people of their own religion they call it bashing> They criticise on falses-bases and should be able to handle criticism on truthful bases as well. I guess somepeople just never understand, and out o arrogance and stupidity they end up in hell.

I would apologise for the watchers remarks..
it would best have been said as a question to check authenticity..
I have heard a few of the statements made by Watcher.. But until i see it happening i do would not believe them (as we are supposed to in Islam but not everyone seems to do it) but i haven't seen it happen as yet..
Dear Watcher.
If you consider generalisations to be wrong.. why are you doing it..
the ends do not justify the means..
as for Non-muslims reading this..
It is true that It is facet of all religions in the World (except Judaism) to spread the word of their religion as part of their religion.
The reason it is not so in Judaism is that it is hereditery.. the religion was for a tribe not for the whole mankind - unlike Islam which was revealed for all people.
But Islam does not specify by what means you should spread the word.. for me it is by being a model person (which i try to be) and let people ask questions.. I have made things a lot clearer about many perception of Islam at my office..
Islam does say by what way you cannot spread the word .. you cannot force conversion on people. Quran states
'there is no compulsion in religion'
as i have stated numerous time on this website before...the basic fact is.. If you blare down your views on people (which i would term as something not allowed in religion.. some may disagree but to them i say I have my conscience you have yours- do what satisfies you but don't think i will accept that) they will close themselves to your ideas.. I do that whenever i see the missionary blaring his voice at Brixton or Leicester Square (london-UK).. but if there was a discussion i may go..
See it is upto the people to want to come to gain knowledge about Islam.. it is upto us Muslims to be available to answer their questions.. as Da'wah of this kind gets the best results..
(the same would apply to followers of other religions as well)
Blackzero sir, Rani and other mod-squad were doing it, all I ask is to stop to that. They won’t stop even if we don’t say anything about them. When ever I posted anything on their religion(hinduism) I ALWAYS HAD PROOFS and EVIDENCE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST, but these guys post such stuff that is not true and when I ask for evidence on where did they find it in Islam; they cannot provide!
Now you tell me who is being fair and reasonable here?
I see this post has taken another route. My point was to ask Rani and other of her friends to stop generalizing Islam on conduct of minority of its People.
http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/smile.gif
But, no luck they would not listen, they are not ready to listen. And when we made a slightest remark on hinduism they act all innocent…stop the joke already!

dear watcher..
i value some of your posts..
but my brother once said to me which applies to your attitude now..
'Grow up man'
Does it matter what others say..
if you look at the cow and say it is a dog does it make it true..
so ease up..
and stay calm and focused. you will be better heard.

Watcher, all of your "facts" are quoted from books that are blatantly anti-Hindu, and are in particular found on the Dalitstan website, as well as other places. Passing it off as an objective view of Hinduism simply shows you off, not as a man of peace, but as an inflamer of passions.
Really, you don't want us non-Muslims replying in kind (with sources), so if you seek to learn more, do it as Blackzero states - and ease up.
