I don't understand questions like this- it's like WHO GIVES A SHIZZLE??? 99.999999999% of us will never be in such a situation. And that 0.000000001% who are will probably save the one that's is easiest to save without thinking. Seriously, you might as well count how many hairs you have on your head- it's pointless.

Their are 3 types of love: Eros, Philos, and Agape.

=> Most men will choose their wives.
=> Most women will choose their children. Because women are more nurturing and are more likely to be overcome with "agape love" than men.
Hey Maroush, very nice post. I liked reading it. Thanks for the info, it was really new and interesting for me.
Tho I am not a Mom or Dad but logically it should be wife should choose husband and vice versa. Coz if the daughter and son are 23, they have a huge life ahead of them as 23 is just kinda starting real life. They will make career, do job, marry and make kids. So they will find their ultimate partner to live with for the rest of their lives.
On the contrary mom and dad has already lived the major part of their lives. At this stage they are not going to focus on career or earning etc. They do not have any aim to achieve. Deciding to live alone (while kids wud be most of the time busy in their lives), no i wont recommend ever. Mom and Dad should live together :)

thank u soo much ...i knw its nt somthing tht is impossible but rare i totally agree with u ...still som percentage occurs where things lik ths happend ... i dont knw y peep r nt getting the point ...still ths thread isnt pointless ...still it contain somthing tht need som serious attention n nice replies ... i m nt expecting huge number of replies ....
i hav jst shared a scenario n want comments from ur side ....jst consider it som kinda supposition n say wht comes in ur mind ... n i knw most of us afraid to even think of such scenario ...ths scenrio iz quite hurtinggggg.....still we hav to discuss it .....one way of the other ... . :(

HHHmmm... interesting df.. id be interetsed to know why you posted this thread... but im afraid id have to agree with Maroush analsysis of the degrees of love.......im sure there would be cases of mothers choosing sons ..its a biological bond.....and its the extent of agapic love........

Suppose somthg bad hapen in a family n at the end u hav to choose 1 out of 2 ..Either ur wife or ur daughter .... whom will u gooona chooose to live ..n lets suppose ur daughter age is ard 23 n u love them both from ur deep heart... n u hav tried each n everything with ur level best ....now u cant think of any patch up b/w them

Conditions :-if u choose 1 of them ... u wont b able to meet the other1 in ur whole life ... no contact ... n son n daughter are nt independent enough to stay alone ... In short no other solution occurs other thn choosin 1 ...
For me a daughter of 23 years old, in any case she would not going to stay with very much longer.
Whey must i give up life long relationship with my wife for her?
I would try to bring sense on her, if she could not that is her choice, she is answerable to everyone including Allah.
