Off topic - what exactly is lolz. It took me several years to figure out what lol meant. Back in the day, it was a new term - some said it was a (American) football goalpost, other came up with equally (im)plausible explanations.

Just when I thiught I was all over the lol term, here come some variations:
lolz, lolzzz.

While we are at it, what do the following mean?

And what exactly is < 3?

lol - laughing out loud.....lolzzz, lolz are just extended version of lol....some say people 'lolz' to show that they were being sarcastic. god knows better.

< 3 or <3 = the heart.....try this on fb...on any of the post. pic comment just write <3 and it will turn into a heart once your post is posted :D
