It is odd only if you make it odd…I’m sure all of you get comfortable after few minutes when you see so many naked bodies around you. It’s a human nature to feel uncomfortable…especially when you belong to a culture where it is taught not to make your private parts public.
However, what I don’t understand is the double standards…You are so cool in the locker room..nobody gives a damn about other’s private parts but as soon as you step outside there is this strange ‘gay phobia’ among people. People of same sex don’t touch each other ..hug or shake hands. If you are comfortable inside the locker room you shouldn’t have any insecurities hugging/ greeting a friend either.

Wht?. This is a first time hearing this for me.
Why would anyone be hesitant to hug/greet a friend of the same sex?
As long as u aren't kissing or touching them inappropriately,it's all cool.:)
After a soccer/cricket match they sit there butt-naked like it’s a café or something, eating, drinking, chatting about the match, slapping each other’s backsides.
We Pakistani guys just spray some deodorant on and get out ASAP, not showering till we’ve got home.
It’s not only the changing rooms, I also feel uncomfortable at urinals, they stand a mile away from the wall with the top button of their pants open so that everything is on display.
It’s very disgusting they are shameless people.
I suppose it’s not as ugly in America but the Brits are just :yukh:
Join the army I heard they all shower together.
Sometimes I wish I could become invisible to people aur phir larkiyon k locker room ka chakkar lagaaon to see what’s going on in that heaven (not only for lesbians but for guys as well) but that’s not possible sigh ![]()
this is as absurd as it can get. If one is uncomfortable using lockers or common showers, then don't use it... what's the really big deal. you are going there to take a shower and change..and if there are ten other people who are naked, then so are you. therefore, i don't look at it from a besharmi or nudity point of view. You do what you have to do, and then just leave.
its more to do with the way we were brought up and the way its been instilled in is that nudity is wrong!
if you think a guy bending over is weird.. jeez. i was at the gym - waiting for the showers and this girl right in the middle dropped her soap and bent to get it.. I saw more than a mooney and it was :yukh:
Ive been permanently scarred due to changing room experiences. :(

Actually no, I live in NYC. But I've never really seen people walk around in locker rooms as if it was a stroll through a park :)
Perhaps I should visit a different gym.

Living in NY you must have heard, about the incident that took place in Central Park a few weeks back, a Gay couple climbed a tree and were having sex in the presence of a few dozen people, until the cops were called and the couple were brought down and taken into custody.
So there goes your comment about a stroll in the park. :D
I witnessed this in Dubai !!! (Al-Ain to be precise) I was in Al-Ain for a football match amongst the different colleges (We have 11 colleges in total). Everything was fine untill the match finished. Me and my colleague wrapped up and went to the wash room to clean up and get some deo on. When I reached there, I found this gora dude sitting. Had some chit chat about the game and stuff and then all of a sudden he stripped
… I thought he got turned on or something. Freaked the sh!t out of me as I had never witnessed this before. He then walked into the shower … all cool and calm
… kuttiee ka dash !!!
I never spoke to my colleague (asian) about this as I couldn’t overcome what had happened ![]()
It was only this gora dude who did this disgracefull act … didn’t find an asian putting up a show.
Lesson: Never go to the change room with these gora’s around.
I go to the gym as well and mostly find asians there. never ran across anything of this sort … I’m glad I didn’t. ![]()
*sigh … sign of Youm Al Qiyamah !
Salaam all
Seen this quite a bit here in the UK. Its quite embarrassing as some people are quite shameless. Never seen a desi do it tho. Its as if they actually want you to look at them and their bits.
I have on occasions seen grown adults in the changing rooms of swimming pools completely naked with young kids (say 6 or 7 yr olds) of both sex. All the kids are doing is just staring at these grown, butt naked folks - and you can guess where their eyes are transfixed....
N
Once i saw a guy to dry his privates...with the wall mounted dryer.
i think you guys are making it sound like something which is perverse, but it really isn't. for girls, it maybe different, and i can understand that..
You are not goin there to look at others or to be looked at. Usually, no one really cares ...and that's how i have felt..especially in the lockers of college/univ..so what's the big deal then..
It is perverse but when hayaa leaves a person he can’t tell what’s indecent and what’s not, that’s how it is with white people.
Yesterday I was shocked to see a brown person naked and that too on national TV, Ahmed on Big Brother, he even had the guts to say he doesn’t drink alcohol because of religion and then he strips butt naked and jumps into the pool.
okie look at this scenario. I used to bike everyday to college, which made me sweat. In order to freshen up every morning, I used to take shower and change at the local gym. So, it became a necessity, and I couldn't care less whoever was there changing or taking showers..…neither I do know.
On my recent trip to Japan, our host company took us to a Japanese Massage and Spa after dinner. During the day long meeting and dinner we were all dressed up in suit and ties. The environment was very business like and serious. At dinner, they lightened up a bit and we talked stuff other than business. Then the 12 of us went to this upscale Japanese massage place.
After going thru the locker phase I put on the swimming shorts (provided by the parlour) and walked the pool area. As I entered the pool and tried to relax my muscles from day long of sitting on chairs, I noticed the President of the host company take a final lap and got up from the shallow area (in a manner similar to Bo Derek's films...appearing from underneath the waves). And guess what, HE WAS BUTT NAKED!!!.
I asked my American colleague who was apparently waiting to capture my face. That son of a B had been to these places before and knew what was going on. After giving me a hard time for a few minutes he explained to me that Japanese do swim naked in this place.
Japanese men are small.
Once i went to take a shower....pulled the curtains back..and there was this Chinese dude taking a shower. Scared him to death...started shouting.
So i guess not everyone out there is behayaa

My incident also happened in Dubai and keeps happening since the gym I go to has a lot of foreign people, mainly Asians and Europeans.Needless to say, it's the Asians doing the nudity.
Outlaw: I understand wht u are trying to say abt minding your own business and doing your thing and leaving. But there has to be some level of decency, walking around naked just doesn't fit or sound right.I guess it all comes down to wht u can handle, and I just can't handle naked men around me.
