What difference does it make? My future saas is an old women with no education but a very nice lady, obv has her issues but no1 is perfect. I sometimes wish people start respecting their mils as they wud respect their own mother. If you mil treats u like crap then maybe a bit of patience wud pay of, if not then allow it, she's old.

I was going to say something along these lines, I couldn't agree more. The Saas needs to respect you and same goes for the Bahu. She should be able to give due respect.

Sure. It all depends on how you go into the relationship. Go with positivity, don't take things too seriously, and don't have high expectations. And if something she says or does really offends you, go read namaz, do dua and pray to Allah SWT to give you sabr and to find ways to deal with it.

He SWT is listening and sees whats going on.

Saas living in USA but in a different city is the best option. Many o times, I ve seen that if saas living in Pakistan, along with younger dewars and nands, hubby from usa starts sending her money so much so that his own wife and kids are living in one bedorrm appartment but he is building a house for his mom and siblings in Pakistan. Or they are driving a beat up honda civic in USA while he is sending money to his younger brothes to buy brand new motorcycles and cell phone and laptops.
