well not the best, but sure is one of the best. I'd pick this one of Deep Purple's before Smoke on the Water
I posted a part of it in another thread, here is the later part of Sweet Child in Time.

Re: For Fret Wizard…
Great riff :k:, definately one of the most popular riffs of all time. Known by practically everyone on the planet, and played by every teenager in a music store trying out a new guitar ![]()
This song gets me high. It’s my favorite Purple song! Great choice :k:
smoke on the water - great song!
I loved child in time till bollywood’s most inspired musician (Anu Malik ofcourse) copied it ![]()
I love Soldier of Fortune n Highway Star by purple :k:
You should check out the David Coverdale’s “Starkers in Tokyo” version of that song. Incredible. The whole album is just Vandenberg on guitar and Coverdale on Vocals. Mostly Whitesnake songs though.
oh I’ve that on my comp :k: great song!
I like “dont fade away” (live version) and “Once bitten Twice Shy” by whitesnake as well :k: :k: :k: :k: :k:
Are you sure you’re not talking about “Once Bitten Twice Shy” by the band Great White?
![]()

Too much of smokin grass I believe ![]()

Right, I thought so
Great White though, is an awesome band :k:
absolutely :k:
Speaking of Whitesnake, they're touring right now with Dokken and Scorpions. They'll be coming to my town in March. Should be an awesome tour. I've seen the Scorpions a few times, but I've yet to see Whitesnake or Dokken. Great Bill though!

I"m sure they will be goin there as well. It's a major tour. Check www.davidcoverdale.com for tour dates. Not all are listed at the moment, but they will keep adding them.
You should check out the Yngwie Malmsteen version of “Child in Time”. Unbeleiveable. It’s off his album of covers called “Inspiration” released a few years ago.

Yes, indeed, that's a great version, Malmsteen on guitar with Ronnie James Dio on Vocals. My favorite vocalist of all time.
Oh yaa … Ronnie Dio is definitely a great vocalist and Malmsteen is awesome with guitar. The combo gave a good tribute to Aerosmith ..
try getting Malmsteen’s acoustic and electric guitar solo from kazaa .. they rock :k:
Which song are you referring to?
