Arsenal's fate will be decided in the next match when they travel to valencia. and looking arsenel's current form, one cannot be sure about their chances.

Gunners have some injuries sure but they have otherwise perfromed pretty well.
same argument can be used against Barca..look at their domestic performance.
lets see what happens, i dont think any team can be discounted right now.
AC Milan are going through a bit of a shaky run of form at present but i think they’ll pull through and take it.

Arsenal is a good team. but their performance on the continent is not what it ought to be. they have been underachievers in Champions league. and i would not be surprised if they make an exit in this round itself.
they lost yesterday to blackburn with man u hot on their heels. they lead by only 2 points in the premier leage.
barca r not the team they once were. their position in the spanish league says it all. though they have recovered under new coach radomir antic, i dont think they have it in them to go past the quarters. they have been lucky to have progressed so far because of the easy draw(newcastle, leverkusen and inter). as it is, they will have to win the CL to qualify for it in 2003-04.this is not barca's year.

just as i had said... the gunners kicked out of the champions league by valencia. valencia and ajax go through in that group.
in the other group, inter came good and booked a place in the next round. barca were already through.
ronaldo surprised everyone with a rare headed goal to put real into the next round. hard luck for borussia dortmund who played well but were not good enough. ac milan is the other team from this group that went through.
the last group saw man u and juve go through.
