IF you use Firefox, install this util and make backups of your profile once a week. It saves everythin in one file, instead of several folders and lets u choose which parts of the profile you want to backup as well.
After this, there shouldnt be any more troubles losing bookmarks or extentions blah blah.
This is a stand-alone util.
