any good shops for raw material in downtown area like we have in LA where we can buy raw cloths , also flea markets where we can buy raw kapra thnx

Go to Devon Avenue and look for Chicago Fabrics...owned by Salma Mukhi. She has specialty cloth like chiffon and jamavar and banarsi.

If you need a larger warehouse...go to Vogue Fabrics in Chicago.

I do not remember the location now but there was a shop near Devon which was off the beaten path all the desi people were found there all the time to buy fabric for dresses. My wife bought a lot from there.

Do you remember anything about this shop? ^ It would be nice to see if other stores are carrying specialty fabrics...its hard to find such things in the States.
