For all those guppies who had a love marriage...

I was inspired by a thread that was recently created. I wanted to know from those people who have had experience firsthand, how was your experience of marrying for love? Was it worth it? Would you do it all over again if you were given the choice? And how did your relationship change after marriage, was it better or worse?
Thanks :)!

Somebody answer the girls question! I'm curious too!!

Re: For all those guppies who had a love marriage…

Yes it was worth it  we have our ups and downs like any other, (if not more than most), but I still enjoy the laughs we had before our marriage, its like we have grown together in this marraige, and more than anything it always feels right that we made this decision, it wasnt a decision made for us. that I feel gives a real edge to our partnership.

happy days :sheyn1:

though life would have been the same if it was arranged marriage either (yeah, for us,it is a 'typical' husband wife relationship now) I am all for love-marriage because I cannot imagine myself entering the world of married life with a totally unknown person !

Re: For all those guppies who had a love marriage...

It was very worth the "struggle" to be with each other. I am sure couples with arranged marriages also have a wonderful life together but for me being married to my best friend makes life all the more sweeter. I knew him since i was eighteen and we got married at 25 and its been 4 years now, its like we have grown up and matured together. I loved him before, but after the wedding its a more mature love, has a lot more meaning. Hope this helps!

Although there is nothing wrong with marrying someone who you like, there is something I've noticed (which stresses me out) I feel like the couple has to prove themselves to their families just because they married with their own choice. So a lot of times you see the mother-in-law's or families not showing enough interest in the marriage, or just not doing enough because they feel the need to give the couple a hard time.
I guess it depends on the family too, if they're open to the idea of it and like the girl then they will step up and do their share as they would have if it was an arranged setting

I will not want it any other way. It was well worth it. I will not do it all over again because you only love once. We have very good relationship , we still love each other as the day one.
