Is it okay to have a mehndi or is that too OTT?

Recently arranged a mehndi for a friend who got married for the 2nd time,it was a typical mehndi with dancing ,singing,games etc.,but it was her personal choice to have it just with close friends and close female family members.

I don't think it's too much to have a mehndi for a second marriage. It should be the same as any other wedding, unless it's against the bride/groom's wishes. I know a few people who didn't wear bridal dress for their second marriage and it makes me wonder weather it's because they chose to or because they assume they can't. If your old and feel that it might be too much to do for your age then so be it. I think this whole thing of keeping second marriage less comes from Hinduism.
