Football World Cup 2002: Who do you think will win?

Hi! The greatest sporting event in the world is only about 3.5 months away…even though Pakistan is not in it (nor any other subcontinental team!) --who do you think will win?

I think it is going to be Brazil, Argentina or France but I will put my (hypothetical!) money on Brazil surprising everyone and going all the way again.

(England I think wont make it past the second round but IF they DO then they could well reach the semis)

Of the African teams the Nigerians might do quite well :slight_smile:

Duas for Saudi Arabia of course but if they get into round 2 they will have done okay.

So, Brazil for me to win!! BRASILIA! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

My favorite is Argentina. With players like Batistuta, Ortega, Lopez, Veron etc., they have a good chance of winning the world cup this time.

Another team is Italy. Unfortunately Roberto Baggio is not playing due to injury but they still have good players like Totti, Del Piero and Delvechio.

Its the year of the dutch.
I must admit, they haven't played well recently but Holland is going to win this one, or not they will loose in the semis like everytime.

Oh man that is sad. I didn't know they didn't qualify since I don't follow the qualifying matches.
This is really sad, one of the great teams of the 90s with great players like Bergkamp and Kluivert.
Thats Ok, remember france who didn't even qualified in the 94 world cup in United States and then went on to win the world cup next time around.
Lets hope they do it next time in Germany.

Ok my next pick is then Argentina.
