Ironic because in England, most of the attention is one the World Cup rather than Enlgish Lewis v Tyson.

I read an articel saying they are having trouble selling out all the tickets for Lewis/Tyson.

So Spock, you live in US now?

Sorry to dissapoint you guyz, but US played as they do play, but Portugal played horrible, that did make the difference.

Oh my god.. now I won't hear the end of it.
ESPN will drive me crazy now.

It is virtually dead, the media is not in it, there is never highlights of the matches on, and no special game discussions either.

At France 98, every store was all pumped up about it. There was advertisments, sold out clothing, discussions around the clock, etc.

The main reason as to why no one in Canada/USA is watching it, is because the games are on at the middle of the night. eg, USA vs. Portugal 4:30am

First your telling Americans to watch football (which is tough itself), and now your telling them to wake up in the middle of the night and ruin their sleep to watch it. Impossible!

Darn it,

I wanted to see this match

Cuz of my job I cant watch ANY of the matches… good to read ur views though!

Al Fatiha for the spirit of Portugal. he dead in an early age. No motivation, no will, no condition,no no no I begin to wonder what will portugal do against korea which press accessantly for 90 minute. He played only good between 40.-45. minutes, There is a feeling in my side that says anymore the legend of Figo and rui costa is ending. Bye bye portugal.....

Not happy with the result at all, so wanted the Portugese to win!

USA are proving to be the surprise of the tournament. They are even threatening to qualify for the last 16.

The goal keeper of USA who did not give permission to koreans in penalty became famous when he was in Galatasaray team. He he he we are really a good school for the most famous players...

Well South Korea should have won this game, but just that US has been lucky.
Well Portugal and Poland will have hard work to do here to reach the next round.
I'm pretty sure the game (which will start in 30 mins) will be full of suspense. Just hope both won't play too carefully.

Half time now between Poland and Portugal. I feel so sorry for that Portugese player, Pinto - the look of pain on his face when he fell down. uff is it just me or was that painful enough to just watch:~( how much that must have hurt.

Portugal deserved to win - at least in my opinion.

Yes!

Poland has dissapointed big time.
They lacked of converting chances and thats what happened 4:0.
France and Poland the big dissapointments of this tournament so far.

America vs. Korea was tough and exciting match.

It made me think of the 1992 Pakistan vs. Holand world cup finals. As the second half was dominated by the Koreans and they were attaching one after the other. If the American goale wasn’t in form … it would have been 5-1

I disagreed with the rulling on the Plenty Stoke they got!

Yes, I got up in the middle of the night & watched the game

Finally Portugal showing their true colors, now they still play s korea which expect them to win easily.

Beating Korea wont be easy. They are playing with real passion with thousands of supporters in the stadium shouting for them.

But yes I too want to see Portugal winning against Korean but it wont be easy.

I am extremely surprised and impressed from US' performance against South Korea, I thought they got lucky the first time but I'm quite impressed, maybe this would help commercialized football(soccer) in US.

WHAT-IF condition in this group ....

GROUP D | Friday, June 14

Portugal v South Korea

Poland v United States

       P W D L F A Pts
  1. S Korea 2 1 1 0 3 1 4

  2. USA 2 1 1 0 4 3 4

  1. Portugal 2 1 0 1 6 3 3

  2. Poland 2 0 0 2 0 6 0

South Korea and the United States need draws to ensure their place in the last 16. Portugal need to beat Korea in their final game, though a draw would do if the U.S. lose. Poland are out.

I would like to see Korea go through from this group, that together with Japan will be a good representation of Asia in the world cup.

I too want Korea and Portugal to go but seems like only one of them can go .
