What kind of affect does culture/your upbringing have on the type of food you like?!?!
Especiallly for people who are growing up with multiple cultures around them…how do you integrate everything and keep a balance? What are your preferences?

Re: Foood!!!
I like desi food the most.
Turkish comes as a good runner up followed by italian.
Very nice thread Phil. Actually living in West has introduce us to too many cultures and we have now tasted too many flavors. I like Mediterranean, Thai, American and Mexican food a lot. It is a really nice thing that we know so many tastes now and we just don't rely on Desi spicy food only.
Re: Foood!!!
Pakistani foods of course, but also Dutch foods (I was born in Holland and some of their foods are delicious) and we always had Turkish friends so I also grew up on their foods. But living in Holland there are many more dishes from various cultures which are also tasty, though I don't always know the proper names. I guess I like multicultural foods. ;-D
Re: Foood!!!
None..Though if you add environment to it and Pakistaniz creating their own dishes to promote them as Pakistani culture than my statement of NONE may differ. :@:
Interesting topic.
Being brought up in a vegetarian household, although now I do eat and love some meat dishes, I still always have a preference for veg meals.
Re: Foood!!!

i am glad i was born in a family who eat alot! My love for food is immense and cant be described in words
Food is important. Unhealthy food/cuisine creates a unhealthy nation. We pakis are one example of it.We drink cooking oils.
