This more or less explains Bush's position in Iraq. The continuing war and the inability of the Bush administration to find WMDs in Iraq has invalidated Bush's argument. It is left to him to salvage the situation as best as he can. Now he has put himself neck deep in the crisis and would be very difficult for him to withdraw unless a basic semblance of normalcy is restored. To imagine that normalcy being restored in the near future is very difficult.
It was a fragile peace that held in Iraq and Bush has punctured that. It would take a long time to heal perhaps not at all. Only God can show the Iraqi people and bush a way out of the quagmire.
