yeah i agree with this..it's totally unfair..and not right. as soon as one is able to have the responsibility of a married life one should get married. marriages should not be delayed just coz the elder son/daughter is not ready for it or if his/her time hasnt come..i think me and my siblings are lucky in this matter. our parents dnt hold to this rule. but ofcourse there are some desi aunts and a grany who sure do complain.

so what is the lesson here.... fight for your right to marry and/or not to marry until you are ready to do so.
It's YOUR life. It's better to convince your parents than have regrets later....

My cousin in law and her family at Pakistan are very conservative/traditional/ancient minded, yet they let my cousin in law marry my cousin while her older sister was still unmarried. The older sister was engaged at the time though, so that could be why, but it goes to prove that it's not as bad anymore as it used to be.
