Don't think there are any proven foods to promote weight loss, instead consuming lower caloric foods should be the goal in order to lose weight as well as establishing some kinda workout routine. Wish there were an easier way out. :(

There are some fat burner foods: 1. Whole grains 2. Lean meats 3.Low fat dairy products 4. green tea 5. Lentils 6. Hot Peppers
Work on adding those in your daily diet in addition to exercise and portion control.
I think this wording is wrong. You can not add additional food to your current unhealthy diet and expect miracles. I know Mirch uncle didn't mean that as he followed it up with exercise and portion control. These foods are definitely healthier alternatives and should be substituted with your current diet for a positive impact.
