Food

Which food do you dislike the most??

Re: Food

The one and only vegetable I don’t eat:

Karela

Re: Food

Aaallooooo… as a kid, I heard someone saying that to my cousin (who used to love eating aallooo in any form) that whoever eats aallooo all the time becomes like an aallooo in appearance. So I hate aaallooos even more than I used to prior to knowing that. I believe it’s true because that cousin actually really looked like an aalllooo… So I avoid that as much as I can. But still anywhere I go, I find aaalloooos being served as a side or accompaniment with food. Isnt that crazy?? : potato :

Re: Food

So you don’t eat fries?

Re: Food

If I have absolutely nothing else to eat & Im extremely hungry then I can eat fries but mostly I avoid as much as possible. With steaks or meat, steamed potato are okay because then it helps digest meat. Otherwise no

Re: Food

Wow. Tastes really are different.

Re: Food

^^ What tastes are different? Sorry did not get that.

Re: Food

There is a saying in German that says: “Geschmäcker sind verschieden”, which roughly translates to “tastes differ”. What it means is, that everyone has different preferences when it comes to food, but also other things.

Re: Food

Geschmacker sind verschieden. Im gonna try apply my pronunciation skill of basic german words I learned a while back and try saying that… should not be not hard I guess. And sure tastes differ even between siblings alot. As a matter of fact, came to mcd for coffee while ago & ordered food without the fries. That is how much I try to avoid.

Re: Food

haye hayee ye kya keh dala aapne… Qeema bharay karelay kon nahi khata :stuck_out_tongue:

whatt?? you dont like fries and samosay?? :open_mouth:

Re: Food

Yeah no fries for me, thank you. And please bring the samosaas without those big fat potatoes or ill remove them from samosaas and make you eat them all :hehe:

Re: Food

Lately I have been doing yams and sweet potatoes what do you feel about them. I hear they are so nutritious.

Re: Food

Ok are yams and sweet potatoes the same thing? Or are they different fruits? Are they even fruits?

But i look forward to the winter season to eat them. They are soooo yummy. Huge difference between taste of potatoes and sweet potatoes & completely different aromas of both. They may share the name but belong in two different worlds. I eat them all winter. Because i know when the winter is over, i wont see them. They are gooooooood :yummy:

Re: Food

We call them yams here seems very similar to sweet potatoes. Now in many restaurants they give you a choice to have sweet potato fries.

Re: Food

Oh my mom boils them the old fashioned style. I love eating the boiled ones. That has the unique aroma which I love & which cant be found in potatoes. Not sure if the fried sweet potatoes retain that aroma or…

Re: Food

Fried taste incredible also, I make them many ways, sometimes I steam them then saute in butter, sometimes I bake wedges and sometimes I roast them with my prime rib. Are your sweet potatoes orange like the yams. I think it is a south american root.

Re: Food

No they’re murky in texture and greyish. Orange ones I have not seen. I thought the color was due to growth of different areas. Could be a different fruit altogether? I dont know but the fruit I am talking about is called sweet potatoe. Shaqar qandi in urdu. The best winter crop.

Re: Food

I just read in Google and the orange one is just a different variety of sweet potato. Try wrapping it tight in aluminum foil and then bake it, you have to pierce with a fork before. It tastes like heaven.

Re: Food

I am about to eat alot of fries, you want some?? :stuck_out_tongue:

P.S: our city dont sell ganjay samosay (samosay without potatoes) :hehe:

Re: Food

Vege (onions, carrots, greenpeas) and qeema samosas can be made at home & also available in the market. There are alot more varieties of samosas now so it is not neceessary for them to contain big fat shapeless pieces of you, aalu.
