Food Tip - Dairy Toffee topping

Did you know that you can use the Dairy toffee as a sauce to decorate your dessert ?

Dairy Toffee are small caramel taste toffee packets , you can get them at any store. Heat up a frying pan. Uncover 10-12 toffees. Then add them in the frying pan. Add one tbs of milk, so the toffees will melt easily and not stick to the pan. Cook it on the lowest flame possible and keep stirring it … 2 minutes later , the toffee will turn into sauce …

Let it cool down ( usually takes just 3-5 minutes )
Then drizzle it on desserts , cakes, mousse or fruit for that brilliant toffee taste :e6:

Re: Food Tip - Dairy Toffee topping

I love toffee everthing, be it yoghurt, milkshakes whatever! But I can’t eat the stuff, as the last time I tried (many years ago), the toffee pulled my filling out

So this recipe is music to my ears:yummy:

Re: Food Tip - Dairy Toffee topping

yes , I dont like eating toffee either , it sticks in the mouth :smack:

So I always melt it now and use it as a sauce on ice cream , cereal , cakes and trifle..

Re: Food Tip - Dairy Toffee topping

I've melted these before but for caramel apples.

You can also just get the caramel sauce in jars if you can't find the toffee squares or if you don't want to melt them. Just store the jar in the fridge after opening.
