Food for toddlers

Recipes for toddler food would be appreciated. Esp things which can be frozen. Said toddler is very independent and likes to eat her own food so nothing too runny. Thanks

Re: Food for toddlers

we made the mistake of making special foods for our ex-toddlurr instead of just offering what we were having. couple of years down, still wont eat anything with more than one visible ingredient at a time. all meals are multi-course meals - each course is exactly one ingredient on the plate. think it over well if its even necessary.

Re: Food for toddlers

What queer said. We actually made the mistake with our 2nd one :smack:

With first one, we fed him mostly what we ate (we did cut down on our masalas for sometime for that). He mashallah like his salans, veggies etc without any issues. Even if he does not like something, he will still eat it while the 2nd one is just a arrgghhhhhhhhhh

so apney toddler ko nihari chata doo…

Re: Food for toddlers

These dads are right...don't get stuck in the "toddler friendly" rut...she should eat whatever you eat (pare down the heat/masala level if necessary). It's the one thing I did right lol.

What others said. My kids eat whatever we eat, been like this ever since they started eating. My kids prefer home cooked food. You'll save yourself from a lot of headache later on. I also hardly have unhealthy food. My kids eat oatmeal, eggs, wheat bread etc. They don't know what cereal is or any of the unhealthy stuff.. Lol. From day one, give them what you want them to eat for the rest of their lives.

Re: Food for toddlers

hmm she has been eating what we eat. But she eats so little of it. I was wondering if I could make something for her which she would enjoy more

I have an almost 17 months old daughter. She eats scrambled egg for breakfast with milk and sometimes a little piece of toast. I don't force her to finish her meals. She eats more when she is hungry, less when she is not..lunch.mostly consists of fruits and leftovers from last night, dinner whatever we are having. My daughter also doesn't have a huge appetite. She is at perfect weight and height for her age Alhamdulliah. What may seem less to us can be perfect portion for them. Just keep giving her whatever you are having. She will let you know when she is hungry.
